The Bennett Prize 5 opens the call for entries on April 13, 2026. The Prize is the largest of its kind awarded solely to women painters and remains so with the increased prize amount of $75,000 for first place and a second prize of $10,000.
Over the first 8 years of The Prize, the 4 winners, 2 runners up, 34 finalists and 10 honorable mentions have participated in 312 group shows and 138 solo shows, received 72 additional awards, earned mentions in 145 art publications, have 29 galleries represent them and over 10 million impressions on social media. These results exemplify The Bennett Prize mission to propel the careers of women figurative realist painters.
For The Bennett Prize 5 please note two additional changes: to enter, the amount of a previously sold piece or grant awarded has increased from $25,000 to $35,000, meaning you may have sold a piece or been awarded a grant up to the amount of $35,000 and still qualify to enter, and the entry fee has increased from $40 to $50.
